The Sabbat Weekender
Part 3 - Raining Down Hell
The Sabbat had a nomadic pack investigating a secret facility in Milton Keynes that held Weapons of Mass Destruction. According to Krom (the pack Ductus) these weapons were similar to the weapons that destroyed Ravnos. A Cainite from this pack met with the Sabbat to hand over information and details of their contacts.
The party met with their contact just outside Milton Keynes who handed over (incomplete) information on the facility. He also explained that they had tracked down an individual (Timothy Blackdale) with in-depth knowledge of the facility. Unfortunately this contact missed their meeting two nights ago and they had been unable to track him down. The contact suggested that they continue to investigate the facility and try to track down Timothy independently, while he rejoined his pack to continue their own search.
After some investigation it was discovered that Timothy Blackdale had been killed. The Cainites tracked him down to a local morgue, where they found evidence that a powerful wraith was preventing new wraiths from developing. They relocated with the bullet that killed him and performed a séance using it to attract Timothy’s attention.
Timothy Blackdale materialised and told the Cainites that he had recently been killed by unknown agents. He had assembled a team to infiltrate and disable the facility after learning that it had become more active since falling under the influence of a religious group. His whole team had been killed too, leaving his prepared resources available. He was bound to the bullet that killed him; unable to move more than 20 metres from it. He agreed to help the party use the Orbital Solar Reflector, on the condition that the facility was destroyed and they aimed for minimum human casualties.
The Cainites took the bullet and Timothy led them to the Facility where he helped them infiltrate the installation, providing them with false IDs and security codes.
The Cainites split into two groups; one went downstairs to the Security Rooms to activate the Control Room, the other headed upstairs to access the Control Room and target the weapon.
Team Security
Team Security headed down to the basement to access the security rooms. These rooms were protected by Cyborgs who attacked the party.
Team Security had to access the 3 mainframe rooms and activate each mainframe simultaneously. Each room had its own security measures designed around the employee who normally uses the room:
- Room 1: Laser beam net and body heat sensor
- Room 2: Ultra sensitive audio sensor and pressure-sensitive floor
- Room 3: Pitch darkness, teleport orbs and extreme radiation
Team Security successfully actived all 3 mainframes, activating the Control Room upstairs.
Team Control
Team Control headed upstairs to access the Control Room, along the way encountering traps, alarms and security doors which they had to disarm/disable stealthily. They eventually came to the high security door to access the main control area. The suited man with spectacles and the metal briefcase was seen at the other side of the door, walking up the corridor and into a side room. Once through the door they locked it behind them sealing off building security, then went to investigate the side room. The room had no other exits but the man was gone.
The Main Control Area was occupied by a changeling, bound to guard the Primary Control Room to a specific wording and unable to break his oath. The Cainites talked their way around the wording and gained access.
In the Primary Control room the party hacked the main computer, set the facility’s self destruct and targeted an Orbital Solar Reflector. Timothy assisted but insisted that the self destruct was set and prevented any other weapons being used.
With the self destruct initiated the facility was evacuated of all personnel and essential equipment. The Cainites were then able to access escape points to exit the facility.
