Paths of Enlightenment
A Path is a moral code, describing to some extent how a Cainite views his or her vampiric nature. All Vampires initially tread the Path of Humanity; their devotion to these ideals is what prevents them succumbing to the Beast. Some Cainites drive their humanity from themselves and devote themselves to a new Path of Enlightenment (see below). It takes dedication and commitment to follow a Path but having a strong moral code to live by provides the Cainite's soul with anchorage against the Beast's fury.
